More on Tea

I've tried several kinds of tea since posting about Good Earth brand tea. Twinnings brand teas have yielded several decent cups of tea for me. As Michael pointed out, Pekoe is a grade of tea, and also happens to be Brad & Susan's Lhasa Apso's namesake beverage.

Orange Pekoe is made from "new flushes" (a flower bud with the two youngest leaves) for the highest quality. Despite it's name, Orange Pekoe does not have any orange flavor.
According to Wikipedia, the grades for whole leaf orthodox black tea, in ascending order are:

* OP (Orange Pekoe)
* FOP (Flowery Orange Pekoe)
* GFOP (Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe)
* TGFOP (Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe)
* FTGFOP (Fine Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe)
* SFTGFOP (Super Fine Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe)

A common joke among tea aficionados is that "FTGFOP" actually stands for "Far Too Good For Ordinary People". Yeah, I knew that.
