Rule #1 of the Internet
Rule #1: Don't Aruge on the Internet.
I love this rule, but I also like breaking it. Have you ever argued on the internet? It's much more satisfying when done via live chat, but is still slightly so when in a discussion forum. I point to Fark.com as a great discussion based arguement example. Just look at the comments for any relatively politically-charged link. Ok first get used to what fark is and isn't... then check the comments. I haven't been in an online arguement lately, but mostly because they don't get specific enough. They tend to stay fairly lame and childish (namecalling, etc.), but when people submit links to articles & whatnot when making a statement it feels a lot more educated.
That's about it. I just thought I'd share.
